Default Rolex Grand Prix - 9/19/09

Peoples,

I am rolling up to the Rolex Grand Prix on Saturday with some buddies. Should be good times. I am sure there will be some cool hardware in the parking lots...though it gets dusty. Is anyone going?

Cheers,

Jorge

Looks like tickets are 37 for GA and 52 for Grandstand... Don't think I'll be coming out, we have SPEED anyway.

If you go to Smiths, there are coupons on the coke bottles for grandstand tickets for $10. It's the only way to fly!

Thanks or the heads up about the coupons on the coke bottles. I'm going to see if I can find any at the local smiths around here. Do I have to buy the tickets in advance, or can I just show up to the event and pay for my tickets at the gate??

There were no coke bottles at smith's.. however going to smith's either made today the best or the worst day of my life so far.

Was a great watch. I was really curious about the rx-8s that were running. They were extremely loud and fast as hell. I felt bad for the Pontiac in the GT class that had it's tires cut on the last lap.. It made for an exciting finish tho. I missed the two major crashes, but I was able to snap a pic of one of the mustangs involved. The other one whose front end was completely ripped off was under a tarp. I also snapped a quick pic of one of the Daytona prototype cars and I was amazed at how low these cars actually sit!
Pics suck i know... all I had was my iphone. I wish I brang my DSLR.
