Proposed Cruise
So I've been going over roads that are fun to drive and linking them all up trying to get a good long drive in. So my path starts either in Ogden or Salt Lake, doesn't matter. Lets just say SLC for fun....
We would meet at Ruth's Diner and start up Emigration going over East Canyon Reservoir then through Morgan or Henefer, We would then Head over trappers to snow basin hit old snow basing rd down to pineview and Either continue up one of the many roads up there. Top of Monte is pretty cool. Or even continue on to Bear Lake or just end at Ogden there either by going down the north ogden divide or ogden canyon. The drive if ending in Ogden is around 80miles or so.
There are plenty of good places to eat on the way so we could stop for lunch or dinner. I would like to kind of do this during a week day which I know is hard for many of you but I think it would be worth it to not have to deal with as many weekenders such as bicyclists and family's driving 20mph under the speed limit. I'm thinking either the end of September some time after the 24th but before the 30th. Or after Oct 10th or so. If there are any special dates that work better for some, lets try to work it out to get as many of us there as possible.
I would like to have other Car clubs show up but kind of have a preference to 2 seaters. I am a little afraid if we open it up to like honda or whatever club that we will have a bunch of young people driving dangerously which I won't tolerate. (Disclaimer: Now if you are from another car club don't get all offended that I'm stereotyping. And yes I know we have our bad drivers too.... and yes I know not all bad drivers are young people... so shut up and if you think you are a responsible driver that likes to have fun consider yourself invited.) ANYWAY... not to say you can't drive "spirited" just no dumb stuff like racing and passing in tight canyons.
What do you all think?
