New and wanted to say hello.

So I installed my K&N FIPK before my drive to work today and here are my impressions.
Installing it was simple but time consuming due to the vagueness of the instructions. It would just say "use supplied hardware" but it doesn't tell you which hardware to use. Also, it doesn't tell you how many washers and lock washers to use per bolt (2 washers, 1 lock washer, 1 bolt, 1 nut for mounting the supports to the box by the way). The insulation around the edges was also a pain. I ended up cutting it at one point to make it fit. Other than that installation was fairly straight forward.
As far as appearance is concerned it's ok. Other systems out there look better but cost 3 times as much so I can't complain.
Performance... well.. IT'S FREAKING AWESOME!!! I was driving 25 mph and it sounded almost stock. So I went up on a road that is rarely used and no houses around so I could open it up a bit. When I hit the gas I thought the coupler popped off. It sounds so cool!! The throttle response is noticeably better and it feels more powerful, or at least alot happier.
I really like this system. The rest of my car is stock and this makes it much more enjoyable to drive. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fairly cheap upgrade.
I got my system from Logic Motorsports. I believe it was $248 shipped.
