I've been told to expect something in that range. This is the first NA S2K motor that Joe Alaniz has fully built like this, so it's an estimate on Joe's part. With the CAI and the single exhaust the car dyno'ed at about 209 on the Modern dyno.

Wow, with my AEM CAI, Mugen Header, Spugen Exhaust, and a VAFCII I only got 198 on Modern's Dyno.

I was pretty thrilled with the 209. That was with the AEM CAI and the Excedy Hyperclutch. Not sure that the light weight hyperclutch makes much of a difference, but I've been told it does have some impact.

At a minium, I hope all the new stuff gets the car to 230 RWHP ... but it would be really nice to see 240 or more NA. I just talked with Modern and the it looks like the car will be started tomorrow.

I stopped by last Fri and check out the install of the gauges. Modern did an excellent job. The AEM A/F gauge is mounted where the mode control (stereo) control normally is ... right above the start button ... and the oil temp and oil pressure gauges are mounted on the a-pillar. It's so well done it all looks stock.

With some luck I'll once again be cruising with the top down this weekend! Sadly ... no VTEC for a while.

Modern Garage hasn't been able to get the Alaniz motor started. They've rulled out everything but mechanical issues with the motor assembly, so sadly tomorrow it looks like Modern will start taking the motor apart to identify the issue. Arg!

Yeah, I drove my car down there so they could borrow some sensors to try and get it started and it didn't work. Sorry to hear this Mike.

Motor started today! There was a mechanical setup issue, but fortunately it was relatively easy for Modern to resolve.

Picked up the car today! So far I've only put 70 break-in miles on it.
