WTF, another stolen S2000
#12
man reading all these threads, knowing this is a fraction of what is stolen, makes me not want to keep my car. Had a dream last nite that I took my car out for the first time after completing all my hard work and parked it in broad day light and came back and it was already gone just seems like a lot of unnecessary stress to enjoy a car. I never once was worried about taking my last 2 Lexus any where and the rims on both of these cars would pay for many S on the street today. I don't get the reason they go after this car when there are other cars that are worth much more on the road with parts that are worth 10 times more (SMH)

Also, there are many parts that are wanted by non-S2000 owners as well: the motor and trans can swap into many other cars, the cluster and the seats are popular in other Hondas, and finally the suspension, body, and other driveline parts sell fairly quickly to other S2000 owners (especially if they are sold cheap).

I've purchased a set of Volk LE37s before in Cicero, IL only to find that they belonged to a stolen RSX. I met the owner who did own that tax and rightfully gave em back to him because I knew it just wasn't right and id be pissed too. So yes, there are people scouring craigslist for parts unknowingly realizing that they mighty actually be stolen parts. You gotta be weary of inexpensive parts that just seem too good to be true.

No need to sell yours. Just know the crowd you hang out with, and don't take chances on where you leave your car and when you leave your car unattended.
