Hey all,

Heads up on the rock slide on 129, they have temporarily closed the Dragon. Need to check out the thread in the Dragon section.

Anyone from the north will have to take the long way around to Fontana Lodge.

Yesterday, we had to drive up through the Smokies Nat'l Park due to the closure on I-40 on our way back from Florida. The park road (441) is gorgeous, it has tunnels and lots of bends, granted you can't drive fast, but it is very scenic. It will be on my short list of roads to visit in the S next month during WTD.

It is a great road... Very scenic...We usually run this road while @ the Dragon... Please feel free to join us... We will talk, when we get there !!!

It will take you right into Cherokee, then you can hit 19/74....back to 28, and on to Fontana !!!!!

Did this last DBR....

Are you guys doing group drives on Friday and Saturday?

I'm staying in Alcoa on Thursday but want to get into Fontana on Friday late morning and maybe catch up with some others for group drives.

Still keeping my fingers crossed on the Dragon..
