Default Who traded their S2k... LOOK PICS

I would like to give a big THANK YOU to whoever traded their S2000 in at Boucher Chevrolet in Waukesha, WI. Thanks to you I got a carbon fiber hood for $3.25 on ebay that the dealer didn't put a reserve on it- (also local pick up only). It's a shame that you had to trade your car in, but at least you know the hood went to a good home. Thanks!!!

Wait wtf, the carbon fiber hood was on that car when it was for sale on the lot.

Did they swap right before it was sold?

On a side note, what is the point of a carbon fiber hood on an S2000?

I'd really like to know what brand it is, because its not like the other cheap ass carbon hoods I have seen. You know the kind that are all entirely fiberglass except the single layer of carbon sheeting on the top, not to mention they weigh a shit load.

I was just installing the new one after a nice clean up and it appears to be lighter than the OEM aluminum hood, although not by much.

Even if it was only .0002 lbs lighter, its still lighter, and for $3.25........

...yay.

its hard to tell from the pics if its real or a replica - the fitment looks really good though and the weave looks tight. Its definately a Top Secret (style). Replica ~$250-300, Real, more like 4-5 times that - GREAT deal you got yourself there!

Seibon stopped making the TS replica with the vents over the battery, so it is either an EARLY Seibon or a real Top Secret hood.

Bulletproof has the authentic hood for $1600 brand new:
