on 3/5 i need a cheap but clean room around chicago - skokie, evanston, schaumburg, northbrook - anyone is fine. any good suggestions? hopefully near a busy place i can walk around, but not necessary. i cant find a cheap room in downtown!!!

It could take over an hour to drive from Schaumburg to Evanston. You might want to be more specific on where you are going.

You will probably find much more reasonable hotels near the airport (O'Hare Airport) Downtown Chicago is VERY pricy in terms of hotel.

speaking of chicago does anyone know the number for the hyatt next to the mcormick center in chicago. if i could spell the name of the hotel correctly. would be greatly appreciated

Try priceline if you're not too picky about where you want to stay. I usually get pretty good prices. I've stayed downtown several times for well less than a hundred bucks and a friend of mine got a hotel room in schaumburg for about 40 bucks a night.

www.expedia.com and www.cheaptickets.com have both been great when I'm in Chicago.

thanks guys. i actually used priceline and got hyatt regency on wacker for $45 a night last xmas.. but right now the best i can find on priceline in downtown is $100+ a night.
