Where do you have your routine work done?
Hello all...
I just have a generic question about where some of you get your routine work done on your S2000's? I'd love to do simple stuff myself, but given my limited experience, limited space and limited free-time...I'd really prefer taking my car to a good shop.
Since my car is new and bone-stock, I'd like to take it to a dealer if possible. But my experience with Honda dealers is sub par. I've written Schaumburg Honda off my list, as they cannot follow simple requests and the last time I was there, they took 3 hours for an oil change.
Do any of you have better experiences anywhere else? I'm also open to non-dealership shops, but I'd like to know that they're familiar with the car and meticulous in their work.
Feedback anyone?

If you're tied to dealerships and don't mind a longer drive, Motorwerks in Barrington. The Honda Service Manager there has always treated UMW people and their Hondas with great quality and care. His name is Ed Wong.

I had asked for a recommendation from the local SCCA community a while back, and someone I trust suggested The Auto Doctor in Evanston (2116 Ashland Ave):
http://www.theautodoctor.com/
While they specialize in Honda/Acura, I was having some work done on my Miata at the time. We also had them mount/balance a replacement tire on my wife's car (I ordered the tire from Tire Rack, who drop shipped it to Auto Doctor for install).
I'm not sure how their labor rates compare for things like fluid changes, etc.
Another recommendation, the shop my wife's family has gone to forever is Siglers Auto in Skokie (7501 Lincoln).
If you wish to provide your own OEM Honda parts to the shop, contact Paul Chrt, parts manager at Honda of Lisle. He's a long time autocrosser, owns an S2000, and offers a flat 30% off list price to those "of the community."

We live in Streeterville (blocks from Navy Pier) and while I'd love to find a shop nearby, I'm not opposed to making a trek out to the suburbs for quality work.
Thanks for all the tips so far! I'll definitely give Paul a call sometime soon.

As for places in the city...
http://chicagoauto.net/ they work on a lot of euro cars, I am sure they can work on the s2k with no problem.
