For those of you who store your S2K in the winter .... When do you plan on putting it away?

I think I will be removing my insurance next week Monday (11-14-05) and putting the S2K in storage for the winter.

 

This year...I'm willing to bet that you'd be good up until Thanksgiving this year. Being the second week into Nov., we are still getting 60 degree days here in Chicago area.

I'd still tread lightly at night for those on OEM tires, or those with perf. tires with no tread (**ahem huskergirl**)

I say, keep the ins. on the car until Thanksgiving weekend. That gives you at least two solid weeks of driving.

 

i used to cancel dec-feb. Past few years used to drive well into early dec.

 

cars are meant to be driven. just put in in the gayrage when the salt is out.

 

I'll be taking mine to Garage-Majal this coming weekend.

I know a guy in Yorkville with a 12 car garage. You could probably fit a few more in there, actually. Quite a place. Two levels, heated floor downstairs, built like a nuclear shelter.

I will probably prep and store the S2000 over the Thanksgiving weekend..

I put the Z into storage one week after the S last year, and it was a waste. I plan to leave it "out." I won't be prepping it for storage, and will drive it on "nice" days.

The S will stay in Hibernation.

 

Just put it away today
