Default when do you start driving the S again?

i purchased my s2k a few weeks back and i suspended the insurance for the winter after i brought it home. i've been dying to drive it, especially with the lack of snow this january. when do you guys typically put the insurance back on and start driving again? i was thinking the beginning of march but i don't know if i'll last that long.

I'll probably have mine out at the end of March, like last year.

I'm about the same. I try to keep it off the messy roads as long as possible. The itch always gets me though End of March / begining of April for me.

It's been hibernating, but I pull it out whenever I feel like it. This year I didn't suspend coverage, but next year I may.

You may want to read fine print on (talk to you agent) on suspending coverage. Sometimes you don't save as much as you think. Sometimes your homeowner's policy won't offer extended coverage if anything were to happen over the winter (theft, rodent infestation, etc.). On the positive side, sometime auto policies will allow for a 24 hour period of coverage if you suspend coverage (vs. canceling) as long as you give the provider (or your agent) a call the day you are pulling the car out of storage.

To answer your question hypothetically, if I was to be storing my car this year, I'd most likely be pulling it out in/near end of March as long as there's no snow on the ground.

The last 6-7 years at least there has been snow in March. (And it ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS suprises the snow plow contractors. )

The last two years it has snowed in April. (Where is all that damn Global Warming I have been promised!?)

My S2000 gets stored for the whole winter. I will wake her up late March or Early April, but watch out for snow in April this year. I stored the Z06 last year, but I have left it out this year so I can drive it when the weather is nice. I drove it 6 of the last 7 days.

I probably wont bring mine out until April (ish).

I didnt suspend insurance last year, and this year I looked into it - I would save a whopping $50 (thats whole term not per month!) by putting it on a low mile/seasonal use policy - so to hell with the expense, I left it fully covered
