Default What is your favorite driving shoe?

It seemed we needed some more light-hearted topics, but also in the spirit of spring/cars/driving...so here goes:

What is your favorite driving shoe and why? (for you, not the car)

I like the Adidas Samba shoes, narrow and flat bottomed with good grip on the pedals, yet comfortable enough to wear outside of the car.

this is the topic i've been waiting for! my favorite driving shoes would be my 4 inch stiletto's that I can barely walk in! the lighter the shoe for me, the easier it is for me to engage the clutch/gas

two words, wresting shoes. I have mine from 14 years ago and there is nothing that gives you the connected feeling of them (except very expensive driving shoes). You can pick up a pair of asics pretty cheap.

Oakley has some new driving shoes out. I am anxious to try a pair.

I like my airwalks a lot for some reason. I bought them at Payless for $20 because I went to my girlfriends house for the weekend and left my shoes at home. They feel really good in the S.

I just use my work shoes...too poor to buy "driving only" shoes. Unless you are super agressive and know heel/toe then any shoe should work...exclude clown shoes, high heels & flip flops though.

Ditto.

I have problems with overly padded sport/athletic shoes in that after an hour or so my feet start to swell and the ankles/heels become quite painfull.

I spent a couple of hours at Galyan's last year trying on what must have been 25-30 pairs of shoes, before settling on the Sambas. They are purfect for me, no swelling, no pain, and I can even heel & toe without difficulty now.

One of the best investments for my S I've made yet.
