Well the ex-owner of the car came by to wassup and look at the damage, and thank god he took a look....Theres a rip in the soft top where it meets the frame right behind the drivers side door, about 3 inches long. Well, guess that means a new soft top...b/c I am not simply settling with a patched one. Can someone say AP2 soft top??

if the top was torn in the accident, then you should get a new frame as well. and if there was any signs of damage to the top frame, you should get the body frame checked out along with an alignment.

What a craptastic way to start the new year. At least it wasn't a hit and run and you have someone to go after! Good luck on repairs, hopefully you'll get a whole new door and top out of the deal.
