At least the VSA is switchable. But it shouldn't be there in the first place.

And DBW=

Not always. It will depend on the implementation. The Z06 has DBW and I can't tell any difference from a cable and linkage.

Z06 is DBW??? Learn something new every day! As long as they don't try to implement some kind of "safety feature" that second guesses your throttle inputs. I think Audi has something like that.

ugh.. drive by wire can EAT me..

DBW stick shifts are the most annoying thing on the planet. i suffer this everyday in my ecotec saab.. i think the outside temp gauge is cool.. tho completely friggin useless. i mean, when the top's down, i assume one knows what outside temp would be.

i'd like a clock / station button added onto the stock head unit instead... i like clocks... keeping time is good.

There is a clock on the Stock Head unit (though there may not be a button.) Has been since 2001.

All Z06s are manual transmission. All corvettes (C5s and C6s at least) are DBW. There is also "some kind of 'safety feature' that second guesses your throttle inputs" it's called Active Handleing and Traction Control. Both are easily defeatable (100%) with the push of a button. You can also choose to have Active Handling on, but take off Traction Control.

It works just fine. On the track, I disable both AH and TCS and on the street I leave both on. I consider the AH on/TCS off mode to be drag racing mode.

Again, it's ALL in the implementation.

yah... but sometimes, i wanna see what station the radio's on.. and once it switches to
'clock' mode, i can't see the station id w/o hitting that particular station again...

of course, i'm a n00b owner so... correct me if i'm wrong. as far as DBW... there's a tendency for revs to not come down as fast w/ mechanical throttle when you disengage the clutch. IIRC, this is almost a very common 'feature' of dbw throttle systems... or it could be just my POS Saab

What would be nice is a BACK button to go along with our NEXT button on the left of the steering wheel.
