I agree with estuki. I have been using Mobil 1 75W90 in the diff and 10w30 for the engine. I've used Mobile 1 in most of my cars so I haven't even given it a second thought. If people could better explain the negativity towards Mobil 1 i'd be intersted.

I rock Mobil1 engine oil in my other cars, but I didn't like it in the S2000. I never tried any other synth oils. I used Castrol GTX for the first 10,000mi, then switched to M1. When I started having timing chain tentioner issues I did some searchs and found that there is a belief (possibly unfounded) that the TCT was affected by M1 in some way. I swapped out the TCT and then went back to C-GTX.
Typically I change the oil every 3-4000 mi. I change the diff and trans fluid every other oil change. Especially with a track car, I found that I would have the car up on 4 jack stands pretty often, so doing the extra fluid changes never seemed to hurt anything or take much time. I never really autocrossed, but I try to get to a track 5-6 times a year.

not exactly on topic, but do any of you switch to a different weight oil in the winter, or use the 5w40 all year based on Honda's recommendation for the low-end temps we can get in this area? or for limited use in really cold weather, is the 10w30 generally fine?
