Warning: MI cops no longer play by the rules

Beware: On the front page of today's paper there's a picture of a MI State Policeman, in plain clothes, with a laser gun, out of his car, hiding behind a tree along the side of I-94. At the exit down the road sits both MI State Police cars and Jackson County Sheriff's cars waiting to be radioed when he picks up anyone going over 80 mph. These great defenders of justice call it "wolf pack patrols". Reportedly they work I-94 and US-127 and who knows what else two to three times a week. It works because, I seen lots of people pulled over in the past couple weeks. I figured it was just due to the spring thing and the cops looking for some fun. Little did I know they were cheating.

I have seen them on M-14 West bound over Beck road and I-94 West bound over Old School Road in Ann Arbor.
It wasn't news anymore. To my knownledge, they don't do that 3 times a week. That is a little too frequent. Guess no more 9K RPM all the time.

A trucker friend reported back they have been doing this for 2 to 3 years. He also mentioned they play 'broken down car' and the laser shooter hides behind a raised hood.

I'd rather give them a hand-out...
