Well since you're going to be on the north-side, here is a bar that my friend owns. Great area in Wrigleyville!

Sugar is no longer in business. In its place is a similarly snooty place called Le Pomme Rouge.

Nine is nice and trendy, but I found their steaks weren't all THAT great for the money. But the atmosphere is great. For the price, Morton's win's hands down. Ghost bar upstairs is cool, but nothing like the one in Vegas. Decent lounge though.

If you guys want to spend the $$$$ Nomi is very good.

If you guys are into Sushi at all Japonais is easily one of the best in the city. If you want the quality without the glamour you can always hit Kamehachi for excellent sushi. Better than Sushisamba(although the atmosphere is probably better in the touristy sense). If you're into trying new things.

If you guys want a nice relaxing lounge, the lobby lounge at the W Hotel is a nice place to chill. Not the W in the loop. The other one in the Gold Coast/Streeterville area.

Sound Bar is a club, in the fullest sense, not a lounge. John Barleycorn is a bar, but they have an upstairs area with plenty of space for dancing etc. If you guys are into hip hop and not so much the glamour, funky buddha lounge never misses.
