hi guys

im pretty active over in the NY Metro forum and see these postings all the time, so i figure id make one over in your forum and see what tips i can get.

im coming to chicago this thurs thru sunday and looking for any recomendations for places to eat and bars/clubs to go to. its 4 single guys in their early to mid 20s looking to have a good/crazy time. we are staying in the loop, if that helps with any suggestions on places to go. we're flying in, so no S2k this weekend.

we're going to the mets vs cubs game on saturday. we're from nyc and nj.

any recomendations are greatly appreciated.

The area where the fight is hosts several well known clubs and bars as well a strip club.

 

the first rule of having a good time in chicago is getting the F out of the loop. Or go to division street with all the other tourists..

www.Metromix.com is pretty cool for chicago bars and whatnot. Goto "sushi samba" for dinner, and "sugar" for dessert.

our hotel is in the loop, so we will have to take a cab to good bars out of the loop.

its sounds like nyc. times square is for tourists and all the good bars are downtown.

 

Big chance of me hitting clubs thursday-saturday so if you guys are up for meeting up I'm sure that Luke530 would be up for something too. Let us know.

As for suggestions.... Level/Vision/Plush/Soundbar/Spybar/Wet are all great.

 

I always have a blast at sound bar. If you guys are up for some good eating, head over to Morton's, Carmine's, or Chicago chophouse for some good steaks etc. If you're the touristy bunch and the sky is clear, head up to the signature on the 96th floor of the John Hancock building for some pre-partying cocktails/drinks, great view, expensive drinks, and a good sightseeing spot before going out on the town.

If you're going to be in the wrigleyville area go ahead and stop by John Barleycorn while you're there. Fun place to be at night, more leisurely and laid back compared to places like sound bar, or the like(level, spybar etc).

 

are there any lounges or are they all clubs? any good bars or are all the good spots clubs?
