Hey there fellow S2k-er's. With the spring season approaching and I'm sure that others are just as excited as I am to get my S2000 out of storage and to start having some meets and fight off the winter blues. LIke everyone else, I have a slew of S2000 parts that I am needing to sell, and a list of other parts that I need. With that idea in mind, I have been thinking about the idea of hosting an S2000 Parts Swap Meet. It would allow people buy/sell any S2000 parts, accessories, or even their cars all in one location, so the UMW S2k-er could do it all in one location plus anyone selling their goods would have a direct market for people looking for S2000 goods. We could integrate it with a tech day, arrange for a ding removal person to be available, have a car wash, cruise and have a BBQ as well. I just wanted to gauge people's interest on it and if there are enough people interested we can start to set a date and location. I was thinking sometime in April, location to be determined.

I love this idea-- I don't have too much laying around to get rid of but would really love to see what all's out there. Also always down to grill out. Let me know if you'd like any help throwing this together!

Charlie, thanks for the support, I have a slew of parts that I'm still looking for also, plus I am accumulating a lot of parts that are taking up my garage plus I could use the money for the new parts I want.
If you wouldn't mind helping me co-host it and represent the WI, S2K'ers, I would appreciate it.

I'd be down. I don't have a lot to sell but would like to pick up a few things.

 

Great idea! I also have a few parts that I would love to get rid off. I'm totally down on doing this.
I suppose we can do it at Urmil's since he's probably got the most parts laying around in his garage and it will be so much easier for him. Just like how Sam stated it. Sorry Urmil I had to do it.

I just spoke with Urmil and texted Charlie, I think this will happen so keep checking back on this thread for updates.

This is great for people who are strapped for fundage because you can litterally swap your parts with another person for the parts you need. Win, win for everyone. Urmil mentioned that he may add a thread to the UMW marketplace also and possibly integrating UBAB with this and holding a couple of different Swap meets. We could even post the items that we're looking to sell and the items we need so people can get an idea of what is going to be there or gauge the demand of parts that they may have for sale.

 

I'll definitely bring the various parts I snagged off my S before insurance took it. I may even bring my soft top back from the KBAB and bring it here.
