UMW BBQ/Meet at Warren Dunes, MI
Here we go again. We skipped this last year (sorry), but has been a great time for all the previous years.
Location is Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan (website here) and located here in Sawyer, MI on Saturday, June 30th.
We've picked this spot since it seems to be somewhat centrally located for our region and provides a safe, secure environment for us to have some fun and enjoy the weather and the S. There are picnic areas available for us to use, please bring something with you (food wise or beverages) alcohol is not allowed anywhere in the park, so don't bother bringing it.
We'll head to the beach after eating lunch.
I'll be bringing a 10'x10' canopy/tent along with some chairs, please bring a chair with you, plus anything else you'd like.
Where
Warren Dunes State Park
12032 Red Arrow Highway
Sawyer, MI 49125
When
Saturday, June 30th
Who
Absolutely every UMW member or guest is encouraged to come
Time
10am-6pm
I believe there is a $6 charge for entering the park, hopefully that won't be an issue. Out of state has a different fee.
We hope to see as many of you as possible

Add me and Bre to the list!
Bringing alcohol, lots of alcohol...just kidding!
We'll really be bringing some sort of yummy dessert I imagine.
Also be bringing a ladder toss game, maybe a football too.

I think that the recreation passport may be required now for us michigan residents to get in ($10). Non-residents can purchase a $8 daily pass.
What if I didn't get the Recreation Passport through the Secretary of State when I renewed my license plate? Can I still get into a state park, recreation area, state forest campground or non-motorized trail head and boat launch parking?
Yes, you can still purchase the Recreation Passport at a state park or recreation area. However, beginning Jan. 1, 2013, it will cost more. By purchasing it at a state park or recreation area, you are not eligible for Passport Perks program discounts, which can save you hundreds of dollars each year at restaurants, your favorite hometown store, on vehicle oil changes, on your tax preparations and more. In addition, beginning Jan. 1, 2013, your Recreation Passport will cost more if purchased at a state park or recreation area, $5 more than if you'd purchased it through the Secretary of State.
Can I still buy a daily pass?
Daily passes are only eligible for Michigan non-registered vehicles. If your vehicle or motorcycle is registered in the State of Michigan, daily passes are no longer available. For only $10, you can have access to all state parks, recreation areas, state forest campgrounds and non-motorized trail head and boat launch parking until your next license plate renewal date. Non-residents can purchase a daily pass at a state park or recreation area for $8.
