Haha, and the sunburn wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be!

Drive back wasn't that bad until I stupidly took 294 around the city instead of going straight through on 94-- its Saturday afternoon dumbass, traffic wouldn't have been that bad!-- and then when I was coming up on a toll some dumb woman's drivers-side mirror fell off her 87 Blazer ( ) and I rolled over it with my left-rear wheel... I was a little worried about it for the rest of the trip home but (so far) haven't noticed any problems.
I 94 had traffic problems. I was stuck going 5 mph for about an hour and a half. It was pretty annoying. There must have been some kind of ricer meet somewhere because I saw about 4 civics and a dumpy accord that were headed the same direction. I would have taken some pics, but I had to watch for the other insane idiots who kept swapping to lanes that were actually moving. The silver accord with a red hood and red trunk (and spoiler) was most worthy of a photo though.

But I dont remember where the 294 exit is, so maybe you had to go through the jam as well . . .

Well then maybe I am glad I took 294. Flew right on through and didn't have to look at any ricer BS!

There must have been a british car show in Detroit or something. I saw two e-types headed that direction as I was headed home.

I'd also seen an MGB and a newer Jag earlier in the day.
Aston Marten DB9 I saw one of those. And I saw a couple newer Jag XKs as well.

That was a Sweet Ride, I think it said 2000 on the trunk. Must have also been a 2.0 4 banger. We played all the way to my exit, He would only run upto 110 or 120 and did a great job driving that 50+ year old Roadster.
Hmm, now I'm even MORE tempted to put an F20c and subsequent s2k transmission in my Austin-Healey Sebring kit car project...
