[QUOTE=sw05s2k,Jul 17 2007, 03:28 PM] Do they allow spectators for this event?

not a bad idea. Do think I would be able to get my car on the boat without ripping my front end off?
Good question. That car of yours is pretty low. You may get it on at this end only to find out on the other end you might have an issue. The only way to find out for sure is to stop by the facility and observe the operation if possible along with talking to the folks that supervise the loading and unloading opertaion. Maybe Keith can have a look if he has the time.

There were some pictures of cars coming and going on the site, it showed low-riders from the Power Tour, I don't think it'll be a problem.

After looking at those pictures, it appears they have a very good entrance and exit ramp that looks near level.

Lunch

3 Balls Racing will provide lunch and beverages unless otherwise noted. The typical lunch is pizza, but it depends on what is available near each track. We will also provide water and Gatorade throughout the day.

I am going to take a half day off as well, I want to miss as much of the crazy Chicago traffic as I can, since I am pulling the trailer. So either we can meet at 2:00 or I can leave at 1:30 and you can catch up to me probably in Chicago area, since I won't be driving to fast.
There are showers at the track, and as soon as well pull into Grattan the camping is right there.

I have a lot to do before I leave, something is wrong with my truck so I need to check that out too. I plan on loading everything during the week and just leaving when I get home from my half day.

Its going to be a long drive home sat. night.

Just wanted to confirm a couple of things I read.

Yes, we will provide water/Gatorade throughout the day. We will place boxes of both in or near the small building we use for the drivers' meeting in the morning.

As for camping, you simply pull in to the track and there is a large grassy area on your left. This is where everyone will be camping. There is a big group of guys caravanning over from the metro Detroit area. They are planning on leaving at 4:30, so they should be at the track by 7.

I am planning to be there before dark, but I have a new trailer and I am bringing my wife for the first time. I'm not sure how long it will take to get everything together.

Convertibles will need to run with their top up unless you have a roll bar.

Concerning some questions about the Grattan schedule, it looks like there will be a motocross going on at the same time. This happened last time we ran at Grattan. It has no affect on us, as they run next to the road course. You will be able to watch them when you aren't running your car. They also use a different camping area, so we should have no problems.

Thanks
Ken
