[QUOTE=ALFYonso,Apr 29 2008, 04:58 PM] I take back what I said earlier... true, the springs are shorter, but they are the same spring rate.

yes they do compress at the same rate but now the stroke of the stock suspension have lost its full functioning travel due to the drop.. the stock suspesion is only design for the specific ride height that it was engineered for..( sorry if i misspelled)
in my guesstimate, anything lower than .75in will affect the stock shocks..
the bad part about the s2000 suspension is that the body of the shocks is just way too long for this car.. they should of used a shorter body shocks from the getgo..
I still don't see it. I can see the system being underdamped if the springs are too stiff, maybe. I'm far from a suspension engineer, but it seems like the major characteristic of a shock is how much force is applied for a given velocity. Is the velocity of spring compression changing? I doubt it because the spring rate stays the same. True the shock might not be moving through the same range anymore, but I don't know if that affects damping rate.

How does it affect damping rate then? At this point I'm just curious. I mean, a fully loaded car wouldn't be considered to operate in the same range as the spring has been compressed a little further.
