What was so bad about them? I had custom rate Ground Controls and Koni Yellows on my Integra and I thought the setup was awesome. I got some pretty firm rates, and the car rode very well. In Auto-X's it behaved the way I wanted it to.

As a rule you never want to do coil over sleeves on stock shocks.
The shocks on the car are valved for specific spring rates, travel.

The shorter springs reduce shock travel which makes them less efficient and if the sleeved shocks have higher rates than stock the shocks become virtually ineffective at dampening the spring.

The result is a sloppy and harsh ride and inaccurate handling.

im running on them for two years now with stock shocks. i havent track or autocross my car yet with this suspension. but i heard a lot of good things about it with koni yellow. so far for me i did the AP2 set-up in which i had the stiffer springs in front. so far i like how the car handles but that always depend on how you want your car is being set at. as for the installation, i had it professionally done. at first the sleeves didnt set well on the shocks after the install. so what i did to have it set properly was a little bit sanding.

I take back what I said earlier... true, the springs are shorter, but they are the same spring rate. That means they should compress X distance for X mass regardless of how short they are. Why would they not?
