I bought a house in Crystal Lake this week; we are closing at the end of April. I'm coming from downtown Palatine, and moving about three blocks west of the lake itself.

So how is it? Cool places to go? Many S2000 owners there? Like living there?

I think gas prices are a bit lower down there, plus there are a lot of new developments in the area and places to go.

Where abouts exactly? Moved away from my parents place there a few years ago, but still frequent up there. Just off of Nunda & Terra Cotta, I'm sure I'll see you around, only a few S's in the area

Just kidding. I used to live in LITH and commute via the CL train station every day. It's a nice area. There are some good bars and restraunts in the area. The surrounding area is growing.

Haha, Guys, I know there ARE good bars in the area...but I dunno WHICH ONES are good. I need names, places, specifics...what are the local places to go, the places that I wouldn't stumble upon on my own?

THE FIRE BAR...this is located just off of Randall Road to the West just South of Ackman. This place is sorta of like BW3 just a little more upscale. there is also another wings place very close to here on the other side of the street. Another local place is Duke Obrien's near the train station in Downtown CL. They have live music there on the weekends.

Yup...called Wings and Rings. I think they closed down (at least that's what I heard). The couple that owned/owns it are going through a divorce.

I just ate there the week before, I sort of liked their wings (real Buffalo style wings).
