I'm going to put mine back on probably in a few weeks when the weather is regularly in the Low 50's.

Sounds about right. If you are in the far north, mabey another month or so.

Also if it's not a DD, you could do it anytime now, but there IS still a chance we will get snow, and even if we don't get the snow, S02s and RE050s are not good even when they are VERY cold.

agreed. I still have the stock RE050s and got the ass to wiggle a little yesterday morning taking a corner near work and moderately accelerating out of the corner to 35 mph.

im from the detroit area (tho currently in afghanistan) i have eagle f1 GSD3's for the summer, and they say with any high performance summer tire you shouldn't drive below 50 degrees with them. ive had some bad experiences doing so - never mind grip: how about tires going completely blad from driving from fort bragg nc to southfield michigan in one trip! that kinda ruined my thanksgiving having to shell out 400dollers for some new rear tires... eek

I agree once it is consistently above 50F switch. Only 4 days above 50F this month in Chicago (the month has averaged about 7 degrees below normal) so wait a few weeks. Although last year it was still snowing in April.
