Sounds about right. If you are in the far north, mabey another month or so.
Also if it's not a DD, you could do it anytime now, but there IS still a chance we will get snow, and even if we don't get the snow, S02s and RE050s are not good even when they are VERY cold.

im from the detroit area (tho currently in afghanistan) i have eagle f1 GSD3's for the summer, and they say with any high performance summer tire you shouldn't drive below 50 degrees with them. ive had some bad experiences doing so - never mind grip: how about tires going completely blad from driving from fort bragg nc to southfield michigan in one trip! that kinda ruined my thanksgiving having to shell out 400dollers for some new rear tires... eek

I agree once it is consistently above 50F switch. Only 4 days above 50F this month in Chicago (the month has averaged about 7 degrees below normal) so wait a few weeks. Although last year it was still snowing in April.
