Good times yesterday, great to see so many S2000s, and meet some more of the forum members I haven't previously at meets.

As for actually driving, unfortunately it took until my last two runs to actually find the appropriate course line, and only my last was completely clean. But it was an enjoyable day nonetheless.

I will hopefully get video of my last run tonight, and I'm curious to compare to Pat's run.

- btw Pat, my intuition is that opting for the lower resolution at a higher frame rate should work better for autox.

- Matt, your instructor Dan is a great guy. He did very well with his S in the indexed street tire class for years, but took much of the past couple years off from autox.

(edit- so apparently it too me 20 mintues to get that message out, as Pete hadn't already repeated what I said about Dan before I started...)

Yeah, I am highly anticipating pictures, hopefully ones of Das Mini tripoding into the first garage.
Garrison, who did you get clearance from to make the "taxi run" your first time out? When I was working the 3rd heat, I heard the woman running control radio to the starter to remove the rear-seat passengers from a car about to go out.

The guy who talked for most of the drivers meeting.

Until I get an LSD, I think I will need to run with a passenger up front if there are lots of tight right-handers.

Was that Dan with the red S2000?
Yup, Dan had the Red S2000. He is a great driver. Those old tires were letting him down.

Also, Dan had to lug my dead weight around the course during his runs, but I set my best times solo.

Maywood is stupid close to my house but I'm such a course snob that I don't often actually drive there,
The videos posted in this thread by Pat from the VW event at Maywood and Matt from the Learning Curve at Rt 66 highlight the vast difference in lot size/layout, and the resulting impact on course design.
