Default Start Autoxing this weekend!

The autox season starts this weekend and there are a couple of events going on. Whether you'll be autocrossing for the first time ever, or autocrossing for the first time since 2009, this weekend is a great chance drive your S2000 the way it was meant to be driven.

Chicago Region SCCA Learning Curve - registration is closed for this event, so if you haven't signed up now, too bad. It's supposed to be great instruction with a focus for beginners. Milwaukee Region SCCA is having a similar Drivers School on April 17th so consider that as well.

Chicago VW Organization - I'll be at this event on Sunday, April 11 and I know a few other S2000 owners who are planning on attending so there will be people around to help any beginners. Check http://chicagovw.org/ for details.

So to the beginners - every year people tell me they want to start autoxing. They tell me this all summer as they push it back and back and back until the season is over. Start off your season right and come out early.

To all you veterans - it will be good to see and race with everyone again.

jeggy - Chicago VW
vtechick - Chicago VW
mike@P.D.R. - Chicago VW
mitmak - Learning Curve

I'll be at the Chicago VW event. I can help any first timers also.

As Pat said this is the best time to start auto-xing, just come out and enjoy your car!

Should we have all the s2k's meet somewhere for breakfast close to the area?

for Learning Curve. I haven't been, and I've never been to an autox that wasn't beginner friendly, but Learning Curve is beginner focused

Ckit - there will be many more weekends
