Just get the car you want. My uncle has an 02 and I have an 03 and they are both daily drivers. they are always hand washed in the winter using a hose hooked up to the laundry tub with warm water. If it is just to cold to hand wash I use a pressure wand place but I don't squeeze the trigger on the wand unless I am hitting the under carriage. I let the water come out slowly so as not to get water in any seals. We have blizzak tires and the roads get cleared quick enough to still enjoy driving. Plus sliding the S around a corner in the snow takes less tread off the tires then pavement. I decided between an S and a new Accord EXV6 to replace my old EXV6. I'm glad I chose the S. Up here in MI you can get $1500 off the sticker price easy but you can also haggle for more.
