you guys are great.... I can't wait til i get ahold of my first rental

 

I know some guys over the summer who tried to drive a manual transmission in Europe, and accidentally blew reverse at about 100KM/hr...they didn't realize it until about 2 hours later when they tried to get that gear, and couldn't...We don't let them drive anymore...we just don't feel safe with them driving...go figure!

Im down like james brown in my regal.

 

I was at gingerman for a HPDE and a guy brought a toyota echo rental car because his car wasn't ready for event. The instructor was behind me just flogging that thing. I couldn't concentrate because I was laughing so hard at watching that thing in my rear view mirror.

BTW, This is why you don't buy a "fleet car"

 

Ya know...

We could have a "spec rental car" track day. We could all decide on a certain model/engine car that we could all rent on the same day. We all show up, throw $20 a head into a pot, run the living hell out of them and the fastest lap time takes the $$$.

What do you guys think?

 

I think it'd be a riot... and it'd really take away the "I don't want to hurt my S2000" factor...
