Should I keep my S or get a CR?

I was just looking at that, lol. They seemed to have dropped the price of the reflash, I thought it was more than $295. I might just opt to get the reflash since my plans are just keeping the car relatively stock.
BTW those dyno number's look really low for a stock S. I think that could be a K20 dyno.

The reason I decided on Flashpro instead of reflash is I didn't want to kick myself if I ever do get some power mods. Plus, I like being able to reflash to stock if...um...I have to take my car in. And if I decided I didn't need it, I could more easily sell it than a reflashed ecu. But $300 is a freaking great deal for just a reflash.

lolz.
If I'm around for the King motorsports dyno day next year, I'll get it on the dyno - probably a before and after as well since the flash takes less than a minute. Or if someone wants to organize an S2000 dyno day...

Some people say Hondata really makes the car feel more alive. I don't know if my butt-dyno is that in tune. I do notice a bit more midrange so I can get away with turns in 3rd gear when I used to have to downshift to second. Also, I like the higher redline. For example, at the end of the back straight on Autobahn south, I used to have to go up to 5th gear for a split second and then down to 2nd gear to power through the next turn. With Hondata, I can stay in 4th because of the higher redline and take the turn in 3rd because of the better midrange.
The Hankooks are good. Probably the same amount of grip as I had with the Kumho XS but more consistent. The XS like heat and on a hot day I would surpass people with other tires that were overheating. I had the Hankooks at a tire rack miata club event. 17 runs and they never felt greasy. Ton of grip from start to finish. I'll probably get them again. I think all the STR guys have concluded it's the tire to have. But the reason I'd get them again is because they're cheap.

Are you done with stock class autocrossing now?
For tires, cheap is obviously good. It's funny how the top tier street tires, all of which are within a small band of overall performance, can have such varying ideal temp conditions. One guy might be putting blankets on between runs to maintain heat (used to be only the R-com guys) while another is spraying water to cool his down. I did that with Azenis on my Integra. Hoping to avoid ever needing to transport a water sprayer in my S.
