Is this a scam?
So I participated in this raffle at Septemberfest in Schaumburg back in September (obviously) for an Infiniti (forgot which model). The company holding the raffle drawing is Sunset Vacations.
They called me back and said that they didn't do the drawing for the car yet, but I won a $500 internet shopping spree and a vacation. The only catch is, I have to sit through their orientation that lasts for an hour. Should I do it? Is this a scam?

Well, I just got back. Their whole thing is about buying 30 vacations in bulk and you can use them whenever. They don't expire. It comes out to be a lot cheaper than paying for each vacation individually. They only provide accomodations with air fare separate. The vacations are also transferrable so you can give them away or sell them. It sounds like a good deal but I just don't have the money for that kind of stuff.
Anyways, I got the $500 gift certificate as promised and a 2 night accomodation to stay at any Marriott in the U.S. for free. The website where the gift certificate pertains to is www.wsnrewards.com
Only thing I have to pay for is shipping. But it looks like they don't have a lot of stuff that I would want on that website

When I went to Hawaii this past June we were offered this free sunset dinner cruise for free. The catch was that we had to sit through an hour timeshare sales pitch. High pressure but the cruise was definitely worth the torture. Alcohol was unlimited on the cruise as well I think I had like 4-5 Mai Tai's and some other goodies. The g/f got seasick but I was fine
