If (god forbid) your car dies on the track you can simultaneously shift out of whatever gear you were in, back into 1st, depress the clutch pedal (and brake pedal if necessary), and hit the start button at the same time.

Which hand in on the wheel during this manuver?

Wouldn't it just be easier to grab 1st (or 2nd) and pop the clutch to restart the car?

it was just to change things up. there is all kinda of ssm s2:'s with rims out there...just wanted to be able to be different is all. no special reasons other than I thought it'd cool

In your scenario the car is still moving. In mine, you've (probably) gone off track, controlled your skid, and come to a stop.

um.. if the radio switch is on the right like that, why not just reach an extra6 inches to reach the radio itself?

Well, if you are stopped safely off the track, what difference would it make if it takes an extra 1/2 second to restart the car?

And yeah, it's just a friendly conversation.

You should just have start buttons on BOTH sides man. yeah. now THAT's different.
