S2000 meet for weekend of July 20th
For the past three years, we have gathered a decent showing of S2000 owners at Road America for the Brian Redmond Internation Challenge (BRIC).
I would like to continue it this year as well. In the past I have driven up very early on Saturday mornings, however this year I will be leaving right after work on Friday.
What I propose is for those of you that are interested, pick a meeting spot for early Saturday morning, and everyone then convoy up to Road America. We usually have reserved an S2000 only area on one of the straights. After the races, we drive into the town of Elkhart Lake for food and drink and then peruse the concours and auctions that take place in the downtown area.
Around 8 or 9pm we can all convoy back.
Our first year of the BRIC "congregation" we had over 30 S2000's show up. That was a year when the numbers of production were VERY low compared to current standards. This year, I hope to double the first year.
Interested? Please post...if enough excitement is aroused, I will also go with the group and leave early Saturday morning.
This has always been an exciting event centered around a very nice race track and town. It would be very sad to miss out on this gathering.

Sounds like fun....actually I was going to go up there for "Fish Days" in Port Washington, WI...north of Milwaukee. I would like to attend this during the day and then head to Fish Days afterwards. Is there a cost involved also?
Thanks,

The cost involved:
Early morning convoy: Cost of time for loss of sleep for early morning departure.
Drive up to Elkhart, WI: $15.00-$20.00 for tank of gas
Ticket for Road America and paddock area: $32-$38
Dinner and drinks in Elkhart: ~$30 per person (good amount of drinks maybe more)
Auction of an authentic Cobra: ~$180 to $220K
More drinks: ~$15
Drive back home (tank of gas): $15-$20
Late arrival: Cost of time for loss of sleep for next day
I've never really spent more than $60 for a day's worth of fun up at Elkhart for the BRIC in the past two years.
