S2000 got hit while it was parked
So about 2 days ago me and my friends are sitting around in my buddies drive way. We see a corolla pass us. He starts to do a 3 point turn as he revereses you hear a CRACK/BANG. We think he his a garbage can. We couldn't see him when we heard the bang because there was a van blocking out view. So after that we think nothing of it and carry on with out night. We are about to leave to grab a bite to eat. My friends headlight shine on my door and before I pull away he says STOP!!!
My whole door on my s2 was dented in. We walked to the corolla shined lights all over it and to see a crack in his back bumper. I knock on his door to comfront him calmly about it . He doesn't open the door. I call the cops the BANG on his door and someone finally answers. The guy eventually comes out of his house. Admits to doing it but can't find his insurance card. The mother comes out saying that the car is insured. The cop told me he was going to slap him with as many tickets as possible because he felt bad.The cop told me not to believe anything they say and just show up to court. The court date is on my birthday -_- and I miss have to miss the first day of classes. What are the possible outcomes if he really doesn't have insurance?
The total damage done to get everything fixed is $2855.87

Yea I have Allstate. The body shop said the support was bent. I just got a call from my insurance company stating the car that hit me was also cover by insurance but the driver(the brother) did not have permission to drive the car.

even though you don't have full coverage, your insurance will reimburse you to fix your car. you paid for "uninsured/underinsured motorist" when you purchase your liability insurance. so if the other party doesn't have insurance, just file a claim with your insurance company and let your insurance company deal with the other party.

Uninsured motorist insurance is a must here in Texas with all of these illegal assholes running around. It's a good thing that it all worked out for you, I would have been beyond pissed!
