Road America track event. Roll bar question
Hi all!
Firstly if I have posted this in the wrong section, my apologies.
It was nice meeting most of you at the Thursday night meet up
I am freaking out right now becuase I was planning on going to Road America on Friday for a track event. The problem is in the tech inspection guide it says:
"Convertibles / targa tops: proper roll-over protection (with manufacturer documentation) or hardtops fixed securely in place"
I think this means I need to buy a roll bar correct?
SO my question, can anyone find me a roll bar or can i purchase one from one of you? Also, which is the preferred roll bar? a lot of them seem very intrusive, I want something more simple if possible. Again, the event is Friday the 16th and I really would like to make it. If ANYONE has any ideas or advice, please let me know.
Thanks
-Matt

Who's running the event? Many organizations are fine with the stock S2000 roll hoops since they are functional. I would not recommend rushing into putting in a roll bar unless there is a local with one for sale and can help you install.

We sell hard dog but I don't think I can have it here and installed by that track day. Install is a bitch!
Worst case if they allow hardtop but not factory roll hoops then you might wanna ask someone local with a hardtop to use it nicely lol

Great ideas guys!
Thanks for the quick responses. I think I'm going to get a hold of somebody and make them give me a straight answer about this. It's a rather expensive event but the track is amazing, there is going to be a Porsche Pan America (if that's what its called) giving rides. Lots of instruction from professionals.
Again, thanks

P.S. Anyone have a hard top they would be willing to lend me ? For a price of course. Wait, how hard is it to install those things anyways?

Honda has the Rolls Bars documented as a roll over safety feature, so they should be fine for tracks.
FWIW, a local member rolled his S2000 at Road America and not only walked away, but drove away too (if I remember the story correctly).
