Default Remedial Question that I should know

So recently (within the last 5 months) my car will pull to the right sllightly if I apply the brakes softly without my hands on the wheel.

Anyone know the root cause of this ?

My front and rear pads were replaces a year ago as was the fluid. Since then there have been no track days, just a daily driver not driven hard at all. (I know - complete waste)

real mechanics feel free to chime in

in order of liklihood.

1. Alignment
2. Not Free moving pads. (dirty stickiness)
3. Bad caliper
4. bad proportioning.

quickest, easiest, cheapest, and mostlikely the cause....tire pressure.

If you let go of the wheel and don't touch the brakes does the car go dead strait?

If so that would rule out both Tire pressure and Alignment

Also does the car still brake smoothly? Or does it have any jitter or shake?

First I would check the left rear brake caliper. A rear caliper will make it pull. If it is a right rear locking up it will pull left same for the other side. Front calipers locking up would make it pull under brake to whichever side the caliper is locking up at. Make shure the pads are not tight in the brackets. I showed the guys at the KBAB that to take the clips off and clean the caliper bracket, rust will cause the pad to get stuck causing uneven wear and pad drag.

Not yet, I tried it last night and could not replicate it. Although this AM when pulling out of the garage it pulled when braking in reverse. Had to go to work so I had no time to look at it.

Chances are its just me and my mind. It doesn't pull very abruptly, I just don't remember it doing it.
