You were probably in 2nd gear at 30mph which will give you no chance at all. I'm surprised you stayed as close as you did. If you could somehow get it into first, then you could keep up probably.

The WS6 is an add-on performance package to the already powerful trans-am. It makes 325hp and over 340lbs of torque in a car that weighs in at 3500lbs.

Never understood why people say they double-clutch when they drag race??? I sure as heck don't have time to double-clutch, but maybe I'm just slow

Chaomutt-I'm with s2k on this one. There's no time for double clutching when drag racing.

Pjonkheer-thanks for the info. actually I think the cars are pretty equal an a straight line. I was in first for the 30mph races and second for the other one. When it comes down to it I think if you had a good driver in each car they would be nose to nose the entire way. I also raced an s2000 in anoka and he was about where that ws6 was (I was roughly at his door or rear bumper the entire way). So maybe I just punch it too late.
