I agree it does seem better by a little bit. Do you know if the lights are adjustable in the Qube ap2v1?
The Qube set does not change colors, as his uses a color filter external to the lights. The R&D uses multi-color LEDs to emulate white, and can change to a variety of colors. Not sure about brightness settings.
I know Art (Qube) makes reference that there are a number of kits on the market, so people need to find out what they are looking for before making the purchase.

im also looking into the R&D the color changing feature does call my attention specially the RPM VTEC and shift light option.. on top of that its way cheaper than Qube kits
i got quoted $180, but i believe blendo here got his for $150?? hows that?
i do also wonder the brightness adjust ability as well on the R&D, i know Qube does adjust.
blendo let us know how that goes

Its an ongoing process at this point. I have the kit installed, and it does make pretty colors.
Vtec color change is also working now. I'm having a discussion with Ed from R&D about the problems I had and will do a full install/review thread once complete.

The Vtec crossover turns the whole tach yellow. The board taps off of the vtec wire on the ECU so the crossover point is correctly shown. I can do a slow rev to 7000 with the tech staying the standard color... tip into the throttle and it will display the vtec changeover perfectly.
Gimmic, yes... fun... also yes
Still working out some other problems but I'll get videos soon.
