power wheels meet.

Shane, how are you doing the 12v mod? I notice that on the powerwheels forums they just add a battery to the system. I was fortunate that for my son's car the brand of battery they use has the same connectors for the 6v and 12v. So all I did was buy a 12v battery and plugged it in. It's still one wheel drive so I'm still searching for a donor car to make the conversion to 2 wheel drive.

@jeggy, i didn't pickup a battery yet but people just cut the power wheels plastic connector off and put on some different eyelets or connectors. Most people buy a 12v motorcycle battery or lawn tractor battery that is 12v. You get more power, don't have to try and find your lost charger that fits the "power wheels only" plug. Some guys do 18v-24v conversions too but I'd think you would want to upgrade the wires maybe. Big difference in power but they say the electric motors burn out quicker when you go up to 18v because of the heat of them working harder. In the video I posted, the trucks had kids 4 wheeler atv chassis that they chopped up to fit the body. In this link a guy made his own chassis and put a body on it for his kid and made a trailer to tow his little Honda 50cc.
