Park under the sun or under the tree?
My S2000 is a DD. Everyday when I get to work, I always have a hard time decided whether I should park my car under the sun or under the tree. I know the sun is bad for the paint and also carbon fiber parts on my car, however, parking under the tree will get you the sap from the tree and sometimes bird poo.
Which of the two elements - sun or tree sap/bird poo - is worse for the paint and the clearcoat of CF parts?

Probably depends on how quickly you wash off the bird poo/sap, if you leave it on there it will kill the paint/clearcoat-over-CF much quicker than the sun, but, if you wash it off pretty quick, your car is appropriately waxed, then it may not matter. Frankly though, washing bird poop off of our soft tops (even when 303 treated) can sometimes be a pain in the ass because I find it really likes to hide in the texture of the top. Personally, I avoid trees/bushes just because of the bird poop.

Yeah, I usually only go for shade under a tree if it's REALLY hot and I want my interior to be fairly cool. Otherwise, I'd rather not risk the bird crap.

I never liked seeing the bits of leaves getting into the crevices of the top when you fold it down. Then it falls into the rain rails. Then I know in the back of my mind that there's garbage building up under my top. It makes me feel like there stuff stuck in my armpits.

Thanks for all the helpful input. It seems like it's not good for my car either way. Not sure if having to cover my car each time I leave my car in the parking lot is a good idea, too much hassle.
Passnu2, I love your idea.
