Great story about O'Hare Honda. Back in Jan. 2000 I started looking at S2000's; I was 24, looked like I was 20, and was dressed like I was a millionaire. They had a white one with black interior. I went into the dealership on a weekday on my lunch break; I didn't work too far away at the time....I was in Rosemont.
Anyway, I was the only person on the showroom floor, save a sales manager and two sales guys. When I walked in, they began approachng me until I walked right over to the S2000. Once I got to the car, the two sales guys turned and walked back to their desk. I tried opening the door but it was locked. I looked around to make eye contact to no avail. I walked over to the younger sales guy and asked if he could open up the S2000 and show me the car.
His answer, 'No, I can only open it for serious buyers.'
I told him that I was serious. His response was to ask me for a non-refundable $500 deposit. I walked out.
Exactly one week to the day, I drove my new black S2000 bought from Schaumburg Honda to work and decided to visit O'Hare Honda on my lunch break. The same two sales guys were outside having a smoke. Pulling into the parking lot caused a bit of stir, which pulled a few employees from the service bay and the sales floor to come out and gawk at the car.
The younger sales guy walked right over to me and asked where I bought it from and why I didn't buy from them, seeing that their price was lower than Schaumburg's. I told him that I was serious last week about the white one....but they had lost out on the sale because of their attitude towards my interest.
To this day, thinking about the guy's expression and tone still makes me laugh. O'Hare Honda will not get my business to this day because of their stereotyping practices.

Just go to Motorwerks of Barrington Honda. They see much nicers cars to beat on.
There service is great. I had a similar issue with the hardtop strickers, and they took care of it without test driving and I was there the whole time during the fix.....
great dealership to work with.
