Looking for a good dealer to service my S. Unfortunately, the dealership that handled her to date (bought used) is waaay Downriver. So anybody know where the one dealer is that cares just a little bit more??

Wish I could help I have heard poor reports about Tamarack ( here in Southfield) but I bought mine in MD, and have only ever had it serviced in MD (O'Donnell Honda in Ellicott City gets big raves from me - excellent place). I may take mine to the new Suburban Honda over on Haggerty.

Victory Honda of Plymouth:
315 Ann Arbor Rd
Plymouth, MI 48170
PH: (734) 453-3600

The dealership was formerly Sunshine Honda and was purchased earlier this year by Cappo Mgt. Group. It is a brand new facility with state-of-the-art service bays. The service department has several long term managers and technicians and an excellent reputation for getting the job done right!

I noted you listed in your occupation that you were connected with a Honda dealer - I'm curious, is this the one? I purchased my car from Sunshine but I haven't been back since they moved.

Edward,

That's good news to my ears. I was extremely impressed with the service that Sunshine provided in the past and frankly disturbed to hear they were sold. I had recommended them highly in the past 18 months. In all honesty I was immediately turned off by the type of TV ads Victory started running. I hope I'm not stepping on toes here -- but they struck me as the carnival sales type which leaves me cold.

I have several things I wanted done - plug TSB, oil chng, and tran'y fluid chng - and I figured the sales approach might have carried over into the service side. So I scheduled this to be done at Howard Cooper in Ann Arbor next week. I've no experience with them, other than test driving their cars in the past.

I have no faith in the Art Moehn here in Jackson. When we moved here 20 years ago we had a Chevy and a Honda, both of which they serviced (using the word loosely) and thanks to them we both changed brands. But, I thought I might give them a another chance last week as they have a fancy new building just for Honda's. I called them and left a message and they never returned my call, so things are the same here.

I didn't mean to vent. I probably should have called Victory before assuming things had changed. It refreashing to know they have not. David Wenger, salesman and fellow S2000 owner, has my highest respect. Hopefully, he's still there. And, it's good to know we have another fellow S2000 owner there.

Dave
