PS. For all those that read this post, please don't think that a couple of "Chicago-boys" and the one "IN-guy" are trying to control the UMW events for this coming summer.
So far the "Chicago-boys" and the IN-guy" are the only ones to step up and start any kind of event up. Nobody has a right to complain about it.

Actually, once the event happens and is over with, I wouldn't mind complaints. This will show us what we need to work on for the next event for the summer and for the following FWT's.

I've organized many events ever since I started the initial Chicago Prelude club back in 1993. I'm fairly confident of my organizational, planning, and execution capabilities.....I do it for a living.

Then it's in good hands.

Its not just the "IN-guy"...there are atleast 8 dedicated local members involved.

Harry, one option that we have discussed is to either work with a local autocross to get a class just for us added to their already scheduled event or to find a group that has a track day already scheduled that we could hook up with. This might hep make things a bit easier and less expensive for us.

Well tire rack is a must, with them loaning free timing equipment and all it would be the obvious first choice.

I would hate to see just one autox if there is not going to be a track day now.
You think you could secure a site for our own autox event somewhere?
The more "race ops" you get the less likely people will be retards on the street. Hopefully.

The only question is you need some people to set it up and run the event, which is a headache.
