Need help in Kenosha, WI
If anybody has nothing better to do than help my sorry ass, I'm calling for help.
I'm typing this from the lounge of Kenosha Honda, the highway 50 exit (it used to be a Carmax)
Anyway, I have a broken alternator and am stuck here. Honda only has alternators in CA.
I do have options, but could always use more. Anybody that can and is willing to answer my cry for help can call me at 847-778-3378.

Sorry for the delay in thanking Andy for jumping in and saving my weekend (or allowing me to ruin it myself, whichever way you look at it).
Andy called me as soon as he got off work, and without hesitation ran to Walmart and bought me 2 batteries to make the rest of the way to Road America without any hesitation.
Thanks Andy! And damn it, I got within 7 miles of Elkhart Lake on the first battery! However that worked out fine because I was able to get some sessions in on Sat. as my spare alternator didn't make it up until around noon on Saturday.
Unfortunately, once I finally shook the cobwebs off (first and only track day of the year) I was just getting happy and comfortable with my sticky tires and RA since it has been re-profiled after Canada Corner, and all the damn NASCAR curbing.
I really hate the new Billy Mitchell Blend complex and turn 14, and the fact that they removed the extra pavement after the apex curbing.
Anyway, Sunday morning I took 14 in such a way that my rear tire hit the curbing (as there is now no longer that extra asphalt beyond) and I ended up looping it and backing into the tire wall on the inside (everyone having breakfast at the Gearbox Cafe had a great view).
The damage was minimal. It ripped off my bumper cover, bent my trunk & brackets, pushed in the bodywork on the driver side around the tail-lens so it is now no longer true, and wrinkled the quarter panel a bit. The car is mechanically sound; I went out and did 2 more sessions.
I found something odd about the aero that I'll summarize in the racing form and cross-post here.
Anyway, thank you Andy for being so ready and willing to help me go **** up my car!

oh, and be sure to cross post about aero
At any rate, I'm very glad Andy was able to help out, especially in such a timely and effective manner.
On the other hand, I'm sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm glad you're OK.

Here's the discussion I started in the racing forum on the weird aero behavior.
