My S2000 just got stolen :(

what are you doing to charge the battery? It says it will last for ~ 30 days...so what options do we have to hard wire this to have a constant charge while using the car? Any notifications if the batter is running low?

Probably a good idea to keep details off-line. I've thought of a few places to hide a tracking module (pet or phone) that would be difficult to get to or find, but I'm not going to share them here. I don't want thieves knowing where it is until it's too late.

Booooooo, kinda know how you feel as I had TWO 2000 Civic Si-s stolen, one my kid's, the other my wife's. Can't IMAGINE the S2000 being pinched! The insurance guy lead me to a false sense of security talking about newer (than 2000) cars and how much of their time was on claims for cars without such sophisticated ignition guards! Oh well, those pieces of s*** thieves will find a way. My heart goes out to you!!!!
Remember one thing: Having less than top tier insurance on such a car is folly. I was assigned to an Allstate adjuster on my wife's car, and because I had a detailed maintenace log and every receipt, I was given $10,000 (including the sales tax reimbursemnt) for an EIGHT YEAR OLD Si with 125k on it, that cost $18,100 new (including spoiler). Then when my kid's got stolen (in Kenosha) they did it again (same adjuster!!) Yes, you pay more, but when the chips are down, they actually treat you like the golden customer that you are. Then, I guess, I have 9 children with driver's licenses and have had seven cars insured with them (at one time) for many years. Hate to see what you would get on an 8 year old Mustang with 125K, (from any company) just from lesser resale value--find another S if that is your true love--name it the same name, and like replacing your wife's dead cat, it will ease the pain.

Sorry to hear it Matt.
Besides the fuel pump switch what about a brake line lock. Similar to: http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/...Lock-p-74.html

Thank You all for your support. I did cross over to the dark side and purchased the 2012 mustang GT. It just would not be the same with another S. The new car has been great. Its ridiculously fast and laps Gingerman in the same time as a brand new M3 (check out the youtube review on 2011 Mustang GT motortrend) I will never forget that car or the 4 glorious years that I had it. I am still an S2000 at heart just with a bigger engine now LOL.
Planning on bringing the new car up to Gingerman on the 14 or 15th. Oh also, whats left of my car is going to be put up for auction I think the website is IAA.com Its like Insurance auto auctions. If anyone would be interested, not that I would profit in anyway, but at least I know that that engine trans and body were in mint condition. Could be a fun project car.
Another thing I wanted to ask... I have my brand new Enkei RPF-1 sitting here, can I offer them for sale or do I need to be a member or something ? I would really like to get rid of them ASAP and I am located in willowbrook.
Thanks Again
-Matt

Matt, congrats on the new ride! Let me also be clear to say that you and all other past, previous, and future s2k owners will ALWAYS be welcome at our meets. Don't think that you need to only hang out with the other Mustang guys.
PS... can I get a ride in it sometime? I really like the 2012+ mustangs!! I actually almost held out to buy one instead of my current S.
As far as selling your wheels, the official site rules are that you need to be a paid member to sell any parts on this site. However, considering your situation, they may be able to make an exception. I would PM the Admin "Mocky" about it to see if there's anything that can be done.
