My CEL light is blinking, car is not running smooth :(
Hi guys,
I was driving today from downtown Chicago, when mu CEL light went on, day before my friend mishifted from 3rd to 2nd. CEL light is only on under 2500 RPM, and car isnt smooth on idle its vibrating strongly, I reset the ecu but its still blinking, Im very worried that I moght had blown the engine(hope not
)
any thoughts on that?
Ps. where can I go in Glenview or Schaumburg area to chceck it??

...not cheap, especially if you go to a dealership. I would try a tuner shop like A-Spec, SpeedQuest, Garage Kwai, or One 6 Motorsports. You may have them determine what the problem is and then look for the parts you need on line or find someone local that has gone through a motor or two to see if they have parts you can scavenge.
Sorry to hear about the problems. Are you in Glenview during the day? If so, maybe I can swing by during my lunch hour either tomorrow or Thursday to look and hear the motor. I'd even be able to find and bring a scan tool to pull the engine code that is being thrown to give you a more clearer picture of issues.

Okay, Im very very happy right now, the valves and everything else seems perfect, it seems that my s2k has forged pistons too...we took engine apart......i dont know why, but I have ACT clutch too.....weird
Anyway I had misfire on cylinder 2 and 4, but no damage done, we did compression test it came out perfect, spark plugs are like brain new condition, we've changed the coils between cylinders.
We dont know why i happened, car is running very smooth right now, we will see whats gonna happen, if its gonna be misfire at the same cylinders than Im gonna change injectors, if other cylinders than coils. For now eveything seem fine.
