MY CAR GOT STOLEN!
i am dong rotations in Chicago for my 3rd yr med school and i live west of south loop in a pretty decent area i would say. last night i parked my car at 9:45 at night on the street. I came out at 5:30 to go to the hospital and my car wasn't there, initially i thought it was towed maybe cause the possibility of it being stolen really didnt make sense because there were avg to nice cars parked around me, including 2012 Audi A7 and 2010 Mercedes ML. Well I checked all the websites towing websites, according to VIN, license plate #, street and time.. nothing came up, i looked more closely at the place where my car was parked and I saw glass on the floor... car was def stolen. If you see anyone parting out a 2003 Black on black Honda s2000 it could be my car! it was almost completely stock. The only slightly distinguishing factors on it were a 10 inch sub in the back, k&N filter, different shift knob, thats about it. It also has a 6 inch horiznatl scrape on the hood thats not easily visible but def there from when the guy painting it messed up. If anyone sees it or anything resembling it let me know. the front license plate is also on the windshield and i have many small dings on the windshield because of hwy driving. This sucks. I doubt it will show up and it is probably already in pieces. 15 days before insurance cuts me a check for whatever they think its worth after the 1000$ deductible. Any ideas on how much i might get back or if they use kbb or what would " market value" be? sucks cause i got the front half the car painted just recently to make up for all the hwy nicks on the paint.

This is indeed getting ridiculous. Considering the recent cars have been owned by members who aren't particularly active, I strongly believe they are searching out for S's they see parked, not necessarily tracking specific ones found at meets (s2ki meets or otherwise).
OP, do you usually street park your S? Were there any cars IMMEDIATELY to the front or behind where you were parked? I know there were talks of previous S's possibly being towed away by a crucifix-style tower, but I don't see that being particularly easy if there are cars immediately in front and behind.
