March 6th Chicagoland Lunch Meet!
WHERE: Rock Bottom Brewery in Lombard, IL Map found here!
Whoever gets there first will determine parking. I would prefer if we could stay in their lot, but the mall lot outer edge comes right up to the building, so that may be an option, too.
WHEN: Saturday, March 6th. Try to roll-in between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm, I'll make reservations a few days prior for 1:00 pm.
WHY: 'cause we need a friggin' meet! Get yur azzez out here, whether we already know you or haven't yet met ya.
Due to overwhelming requests for a Chicagoland meet, I figured someone might as well step up and setup a meet. After considering various venues, I felt a family favorite, Rock Bottom Brewery, would be our best bet. I don't know if the UMW has ever held a meet at any of these, but I love their food selection and I've heard their own beer selections ain't bad, either. The downtown Chicago location seemed out of the question due to logistics, so the Lombard one looked like the best bet. There's a menu available here so you'll know how much dough you'll need to bring, or if you'd rather not come because you only go to places that sell boiled goose. I've had every burger on the menu, and I recommend them all.
I'll be arranging for the usual downtown-to-the-meet cruise, meeting up at the Dominicks at Roosevelt and Canal around 11:00 am and hopefully rolling out between 11:15 am and 11:30 am.
If you don't know how this works, or maybe just need some reminding, copy and paste "The List" from the post prior if you're attending or tentatively (mark it) attending.

Let's hopefully keep up the momentum from Charlie's fantastic meet and try for another big showing!

Excellent, we've got a good looking list so far! Let's keep it up and see some more names on there!
Also FYI, although the place has "brewery" in the name, it's 100% family friendly and open to all ages. Heck, I wouldn't be able to host if it weren't <21 friendly!

Thanks for putting this together Garrison! As Pete said, we've done some meets at the one in MKE and always had a great time. I'm there with bells on!
